Chris Lake’s ever growing label Rising Music returns with another juicy release, this time from Jim Breese, regularly found playing around the globe from Space Ibiza to Cocoon Frankfurt whilst also featuring monthly on Ministry of Sound radio.
His single ‘Get Movin’ features a mass of bouncy beats combined with a vocal sample that continues to pound the speakers throughout. In his own words he describes his sound better than anyone – “Big Room sound of sleazy, sexy, slammin’ House music” and that is exactly what it is, the epic synth breakdowns will have every hand in the air!
The label boss himself Chris Lake also had some extremely encouraging words on Jim: “This track has been hammered by me all through the summer, and the feel is so unique and well executed, that I’ve been regularly hounded for information about it at my gigs, which is always a great sign for a hot record. Jim’s really onto something here, and he’s a producer anyone serious about quality house music should keep their eye on”
Also included on the package is a tech house re-work from upcoming UK based producer Blackhill. Taking the original and transforming it into a groovier cut with a rolling bass line that will keep the dance floor ‘Movin’ perfectly.
Hope you all enjoy another sublime release from Chris Lake’s Rising music.
Sundown is the first single from the forthcoming album of renowned producer/DJ Chris Lake. Chris has been keeping himself busy during 2011, touring constantly in north America and around the globe and now the ink is drying on a newly signed worldwide artist contract with Ultra Music.
Sundown has been a secret weapon during his sets during the summer and is an anthem in the making and features all that Chris Lake has become notorious for. A rolling bassline which knocks, a gorgeous melody built on an acoustic guitar riff, building synths and the ever lovely vocals that are a guaranteed sing along to champion any dance floor. And that’s only the original. Take all of that and have it remixed by Laidback Luke, Lazy Rich, Kyle Watson, Taurus & Vaggeli and Ronda, you know there’s bound to be more than one hit coming from this package.
Pete Tong got him in the studio for a July edition of the Hot Mix; and despite virtually zero promotion of the tracklist, ‘Sundown’ instantly became the word on the tip of everyone’s tongues. One week later, it was Pete’s Essential Contender, and the following week Chris earned his umpteenth Essential New Tune title. In the US, Chris has two Billboard Dance Airplay #1s under his belt, let’s champion this one for a 3rd.
Chris Lake’s Rising Music continues to supply us with big club records. This time see’s Marco Lys teaming up with Michael Gray to deliver ‘Remember’.
Rolling bass line and bouncy beats continue to drive the track whilst the mesmerising vocal sample echoes out. With previous releases between them on Defected, Toolroom and Positiva it’s clear to see why these two very talented and experienced producers have yet again created a main room smash.
Ever rising talent and label favourite Nelski adds his magic touch on a remix. Transforming the original with big synth riffs and a breakdown of huge proportion.
Hope you all enjoy another release from Chris Lake’s Rising Music.
Chris Lake and his label Rising Music welcomes ARIA Award-nominated Australian Tommy Trash for his debut release on the label ‘Monkey See Monkey Do’.
You may have heard this already destroying dance floors across the world in Chris’ sets. A perfect anthem that includes a superbly executed riff reminiscent of childhood arcade game memories but skilfully crafted with sublime build ups and into a release of energy on the drop with hard hitting beats and bass line leading the way. With previous releases on Ministry Of Sound, Toolroom and Subliminal, and upcoming releases on Dim Mak, Musical Freedom and Mixmash its clear to see why we are ecstatic about this extremely talented producer’s label debut.
Hope you enjoy another great release from Chris Lake’s Rising Music and Tommy Trash, of which we hope to see some of his resplendent talent again soon.
“As soon as you hear a track, you can tell if someone has got ‘it’. Nelski has got ‘it’ in abundance. If I was a betting man, I would put my money on Nelski – he is about to blow! Watch this space.” Mark Knight, Toolroom Records

Nelski: Making it LIVE
“This (‘Minimal Life) has been breaking down the walls for me; it was like magic seeing it work the dance floor at the Space Ibiza opening party…” Carl Cox
Quirky & rare individuality are elements that make up this skilled and exciting character. It’s these things that have gained this young artist support across the dance music board, with Carl Cox & deadmau5 as examples of the wide spectrum of talent embracing his idiosyncratic sound.
Summer 2010’s ‘Body Pop’ was Nelski’s first track, showcasing his inventive production habits. Habits that crafted a sound heavily supported across all of Radio 1, with Pete Tong confirming support through crowning ‘Body Pop‘ as the opening track of his 2010 Wonderland compilation album. Alongside copious amounts of chart spots, ‘Body Pop’ went on to be featured on further compilation albums, making his first release a massive success. From then on, industry eyes intently focused on his next moves.
Since, Nelski has delivered tracks that prove his consistency as a producer, showcasing his diverse sound & individual method. ‘Colours’ & ‘Minimal Life’ with Chris Lake have pulled in support from dance music giants across the board, with further props coming from deadmau5 who used the track in his 2010 summer sets during his residency on the Mixmag terrace for Cream, Ibiza. And Capital FM recently jumped at the chance to exclusively preview Nelski’s recent June release, ‘Dancing’ on their Weekend Players feature.
Although Nelski’s DJing skills have seen him featured in events across the world including Belfast, Portugal, Spain & Brazil, playing with characters like deadmau5, Michael Woods & Eric Prydz, his live shows are widely divergent. Live is where his passion lies. It’s here where his artistry shines through, & where Nelski makes his mark as something that little bit different. Using live vocal, percussion & keyboards his tracks are played at that very moment, making each performance refreshingly unique. Nelski has produced an intricate show that requires skill, demands full attention & confidence to execute.
Nelski’s greatest attribute when it comes to production is his flair for improvisation, which is exactly how he learned to play the keys on blues & jazz scales. As a result, he doesn’t read or recite pieces but constructs his works through pure feeling. Taking influences from his samba background, percussion is an obvious crucial element in the music he creates, using the Korg Wavedrum during live shows to project the sounds that neatly compliment Nelski’s most prominent factor, his voice.
Nelski has carefully developed an imaginative sound that’s been crafted into a sharp, interesting & engaging live show, sure to catch the attention of a global audience. His musical ethos of “it’s about the here & now” is the perfect foundation for an artist that does just that, delivers in real time for the here & now!
Chris Lake returns to his Rising Music label together with Boston duo Nightriders to deliver ‘NYC‘ – of which can only be described as an anthem in every right.
Full of building signature Chris Lake synths combined with disco infused samples and bouncy beats. Not to mention the catchy ‘New York’ vocal sample to bring madness to any dance floor.
LA’s finest TJR brings home a remix of ‘NYC‘ – transforming the original into something a little tougher and adding ‘moar cowbell’ as he aptly mentions in the remix title. With previous releases on Dim Mak, Fools Gold and Potty Mouth Music this mix is definitely a great addition to the package.
Hope you all enjoy another addition from Rising Music and Chris Lake, who’s label has some musical treats planned for you in the very near future.
Following on from the success of Nelski’s ‘Dancing’, Chris lake’s Rising Music returns with label favorite Marco Lys.
The Italian stallion provides yet again another record full of splendid groove and flavour. This time with a fantastic cover of Moby’s ‘Go’. As the strings open up and the mesmerising vocal sample repeats, Marco hits us with his classy beats and percussive rhythms. This will be a weapon on many a dance floor.
On remix duty are more friends of Rising, LA Riots and Nom De Strip provide another quality remix for the label. A full tech re-working with rolling bass lines and chunky beats.
Hope you all enjoy another installment of Rising Music and we thank you for your continued support of the label.
Chris Lake’s Rising Music returns with another smash from Nelski. The superbly bouncy ‘Dancing’ is a perfect example of what is to come from the all new Nelski Live show, launching this summer at Festivals in Europe, Greece and Asia.
With previous support from deadmau5, Pete Tong and Carl Cox, all respectively playing his fantastic “Body Pop” or his collaboration with Chris Lake “Minimal Life”, he creates a tech house work out with rolling bass lines, skippy hats and chunky beats, all accompanied by Nelski’s signature vocals that are present in every Nelski release, adding yet another anthem to his growing repertoire.
