On Friday the 4th of February, Pete Tong put a smile on all our faces at Rising Music as he started something special- he named Chris Lake’s ‘Secrets In The Dark’ as his Essential new tune contender! Since then there has been a lot of noise in the blogs about it with everyone waiting with baited breathe for it’s release! Mouthes talked and fingers tweeted which built up momentum and sent the track up to 2nd place in the ‘Popular Tracks’ section on the Hype Machine! ‘When is the release date??’ people asked…

Well Monday 21st Feb was everyone’s lucky day! The track was released on Beartport alongside remixes by Hector Couto and Alex Kenji with the latter mix receiving almost as much attention in the blogs as Chris Lake’s original! It is currently sat (at time of writing) in 3rd place in the ‘Popular Tracks‘ on the Hype Machine, a fantastic achievement all round.

Haven’t heard the tracks yet? Then you should click HERE, get yourself over there and give it a listen:

Chris Lake returns to his own imprint Rising Music in style with his extremely well crafted ‘Secrets In The Dark’.

The infectiously groovy house classic features splendid vocals combined with rolling bass lines and Lake’s signature synth stabs and hooks. A great peak time anthem that will work well on any dance floor and a perfect set up single for a very creative year ahead for Chris – including more worldwide tours and lots of tasty original material.

Mixes come courtesy of Alex Kenji, who delivers his signature tech-house remix – the Hotfingers and 303Lovers co-owner uses the original vocal and chops it up to great effect. Spain’s Hector Couto who with previous releases on Great Stuff, Monique Musique and his own Pura Music, he re-works the original into a groovier tech-house number.

Hope you enjoy another great release from Chris Lake and Rising Music who continue to put out quality house music.
