Next up on Rising we have a pretty special collaboration between two of Rising’s hottest artists.
Chris Lake and Nelski deliver ‘Minimal Life’ a big peak time anthem. With a deep rolling bass, techy glitches, driving drums and vocals that will keep you going till morning, it’s bound to be a dance floor smash. Also on the package is the instrumental, so you can enjoy the true class of production, even without the vocals.
First up on remix duty is DJ PP, the South American mastermind behind top 10 Beatport hit ‘Miami Vice’. He turns the original into a bouncier techy version, perfect for the summer.
Next is Filthy Rich, a talented guy who has graced labels such as Toolroom and Cr2 provides another great driving mix, whilst still keeping the original vocals, he manages to create another great addition to the package.
Also contributing to the package in great style is René Amesz, the Dj/Producer from Rotterdam is no stranger to Rising, with previous releases on the label. He transforms Minimal Life into his own.
As an added extra we have supplied the acapella, a great Dj tool for rocking dance floors across the globe.
Hope you enjoy this great package from Rising Music, a real treat, Pete Tong has already included in his essential mix and Mark Knight and Carl Cox are both already big supporters, hope you like it too.
Further to the feature that was posted earlier last month, check out the video below to see some of the involved label bosses answer the question; "what is house?". Click here to purchase a copy of 'This is House' at iTunes.
Back to his main stable with a slight name change, Marco Lys (aka Lys) returns to Rising with a huge ethno sampling summer smash in the form of Mombasa. With Mombasa, Marco gives us his own unique twist on ethnic sample house. Tough percussive drums intertwine beautifully with a deep sub bass line, while the chanting vocal sample draws you into the massive build with its gorgeous pads and stabbing synths. Siwell takes the track into deeper, techier territory, low key drums and a walking bass line take care of the bottom end, while Siwell twists the samples with new effects, adds some rolling chords, a sax and new pads to take the track straight to the heads down dancefloors.
Once again Marco shows just what he is capable of, Pete Tong has already taken notice, giving Mombasa its first airing on his Essential Selection. We can’t wait to show you just what we have coming from one of Rising’s fastest Rising stars.
Well, here it is… the day has finally come, when our label head-honcho puts out what he believes to be a compilation worthy of Toolroom Knights‘ status. We’re massively loving the tune selection – probably because we know this is what Lake is really all about – basslines, grooves, pure house… with a nice dose of ‘tech’ just to get the rhythm’s totally following.
